IsoPROPEL consortium meets in Valencia for second General Assembly

The IsoPROPEL consortium gathered in sunny Valencia, Spain, on 20–21 May 2026 for its second General Assembly meeting, hosted by the coordinator CSIC). The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for partners to review progress achieved during the first months of the project, discuss upcoming activities, and strengthen collaboration across the consortium.

The two-day meeting opened with updates on project management and the overall status of the project. Partners then presented progress within the technical work packages, covering the development of electrified processes for renewable isopropanol production, direct isopropanol fuel cell technologies, system optimization, and techno-economic assessment. Dissemination, communication, stakeholder engagement, and exploitation activities were also discussed to ensure the project’s long-term impact.

In addition to the technical sessions, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on research challenges, future milestones, and opportunities for collaboration across work packages. A highlight of the meeting was the laboratory tour at CSIC, where partners had the opportunity to visit the host’s research facilities and learn more about the experimental work supporting the project objectives.

We would like to thank CSIC for their warm hospitality and excellent organization of the meeting, as well as all consortium partners for their active participation and contributions. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and meeting again at the next General Assembly.
